Net Solving and FingerPrint Medical join forces to become Athera Healthcare
Surgical instrument track and trace software, FingerPrint Medical, and clinical data analytics platform, Net Solving, have rebranded as we’ve unveiled plans to expand our product offering through acquisition.
Now, under the new Athera Healthcare brand, Net Solving’s solution will become Athera Insights and FingerPrint Medical will take the product identity of Athera FingerPrint.
FingerPrint Medical and Net Solving were acquired by Athera Healthcare in 2023 and 2022, respectively.
The rebrand will unite the two operations and is central to our strategic vision to advance patient care, by investing in innovation and acquiring new technologies. This will provide customers with interoperable systems which serve up vital health insights.
Founded in 1996, FingerPrint Medical provides a digital solution for tracking the sterilisation, decontamination, repair and replacement requirements of surgical equipment to ensure their safe and compliant use.
Our innovative track and trace system is used across the NHS and is a national supplier in Ireland’s public hospitals.
Net Solving is a health data analytics platform used in high profile national and international healthcare projects by organisations such as the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the British Society for Rheumatology, the Royal College of Anaesthetists, and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
For more than a decade it has provided real-time data insights for clinical audits, disease and patient registries and quality improvement programmes.
Our CEO, Gordon Cooper, said: “Our strategic vision is to provide an ever-evolving suite of digital solutions through investment and acquisition which help the healthcare industry progress through the power of health insights.
“While both Net Solving and FingerPrint Medical are well known and have earned fantastic reputations in their own right, we needed to take this final step to unite them.”
With the launch of Athera Insights and FingerPrint also comes development within our existing product offering, including bringing together intelligence to allow cross-system reporting, analysis and data exchange.
Gordon added: “As well as representing a new chapter for us as a group, this rebrand signals our ambition to grow through further acquisitions – particularly within the field of data insights for the benefit of population health.
“Our plan for growth is focused on bringing together the very best health technology innovation and people to advance care and spark real, industry-wide change.
“We’re committed to improving patient outcomes, and through close collaboration help our customers achieve their goals.”
